Analysis of Horticultural Activity Programs in Research Articles on Horticultural Therapy for Children in Korean Journals

Background and objective: The objective of this study was to analyze the current research trends in horticultural therapy for children by examining articles published Korean journals over past 20 years.Methods: A total 76 experimental from 22 were analyzed determine publication status, activity programs, plant species used programs.Results: results showed that Journal People, Plants, Environment (57.9%) horticulture majors (43.4%) biggest number publications related children. Most programs consisted 11 15 sessions (36.4%), held once a week (61.0%), lasted ten weeks or less (33.8%), with each session lasting 31 60 minutes (53.2%). had groups fewer participants (40.3%) conducted indoors (75.3%). Although activities varied among authors’ majors, arts crafts (41.5%) most common type program analysis revealed flowers frequently (49.5%), followed vegetables (19.4%). Regarding types usage, cut (33.5%) seedlings (33.1%) used, which is because mostly crafts, cultivation activities. However, 53.8% materials not clearly identified articles, indicating lack consideration used. According sources plants activities, 80% 60% obtained through purchase program.Conclusion: In conclusion, it necessary increase ratio observation preserve essence therapy, as well select suitable develop effective bring various beneficial effects
